Art Folio

This is the prototype of a site to enable artists to manage their art placement in shows and galleries, and their grants and residencies.

It is built with Next.js, TypeScript, and Postgres, and uses information that lives in the artist's Instagram account.

Instagram and its parent company, Meta, recently changed the way apps like this access information on Meta's platforms, effectively shutting down Art Folio's connections to our users' data there.

Until I set up my own company, or partner with an existing company and, revise the app code accordingly, no new content will be added, and images - which for the most part reside in the artist's Instagram account - will all be replaced by image placeholders.

We are working on a new version of the app and site that will integrate other platforms much as the app now uses Instagram's api. The current version here uses images and text from Bluesky Social.
